With the upcoming SOL postseason just on the horizon, the expectations are being set. Coming off a strong 9-7 season record, the 2025 boys’ golf team is playing with something to prove. The teams include many returning starting seniors, highlighting the expectations for the rest of this year.
Senior Ethan Cenci spoke about the returning and upcoming talent on the team: “We have some serious talent with Tyler Adair, Nigel Mathur, Bradley Campbell, and Gavin Reinert who have shined for us through their years of playing at East, but new guys will step up this postseason for us as well. Sophomore Brandon Reinert will play a role alongside his brother Gavin Reinert. New guys like Ben Davey, Logan Mitchell, and Cooper Bliss will start varsity this year as well.”
Senior captain Eric Kallelis has ambitious aspirations for this upcoming postseason in order to potentially go far into states. He says, “Last season I did not show what I was capable of. Fortunately, I think that is my driving motivation for this year. But everyone is on the same page and is bought in on winning SOL, districts, and hopefully a huge state run. We know we are on the right course because we have the most talent. Once we put it together, we will be hard to stop.”
