The past couple of days have been eventful for Central Bucks High School East. With homecoming on Saturday night, the Patriot’s football team were eager to host Friday’s big game. Buzzed with excitement, students pack the stands for the game against Abington High School.

This year’s football game was a complete blowout for the Patriots. With the score increasing throughout the game, CB East beat the Galloping Ghosts 49-7. The atmosphere in the stadium was insane, it was packed with cheering parents and students. Beyond just the game, this event featured halftime performances by the marching band, the cheerleaders rallying the stands, and the homecoming court winners were announced. Seniors Timmy Fuhrmeister and Paige Dougherty took the top place on the podium of King and Queen.

We interviewed a couple fellow Patriot’s on their thoughts on the big game. We were specifically interested in the seniors’ perspectives, Cisco Martinez stated, “It’s really fun to be apart of the atmosphere.” Emma Doughtery stated, “You have a bunch of people behind you who you’re supposed to be a role model for so it kind of makes me feel like a leader and bestie Reehan always gets amazing photos of me and my friends.” Junior Anna Smallacomb stated, “I thought people were really excited and hyped up for this week’s game.”
The game wasn’t the only exciting part about this past weekend, on Saturday Central Bucks East held their homecoming dance where students from all grades were welcome to have an amazing night full of singing, dancing, and most importantly Kona Ice!
We also interviewed some students on their thoughts on homecoming!
When Brooklyn Planck was asked what her favorite song was that was played at homecoming, she responded, “Lava chicken from the Minecraft movie.”
Cooper Planck was up at the DJ stand and when asked his thoughts on being able to do that, he said, “it was cool I liked getting to aura farm.”
Siena Pucillo stated, “I thought hoco was very fun and it was good to see all my friends and dance with everyone!”
As the final whistle blew at the big game, and the music faded and the lights dimmed, Central Bucks Homecoming 2025 weekend ended on a high note. Nights filled with laughter, friendship, and unforgettable memories showing what East’s community is truly about.
