Who doesn’t love Crumbl Cookies? Started by two cousins, Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley, the trending cookie company blew up in 2020 during the COVID pandemic and has been an internet sensation ever since. In their first months of business, some waited in lines for up to 2 hours just to taste the weekly flavors. Each week, Crumbl releases a lineup of 6 new flavors, sometimes adding in a mystery flavor. This week we visited Crumbl Cookies and tried the newest flavors which include the Snickerdoodle Skillet, Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk, Raspberry Cupcake, Strawberry, Smore’s Skillet, and Chocolate Milkshake cookies.
This week’s selection wasn’t the best we ever had, but we still enjoyed trying the flavors that were offered.
- Snickerdoodle Skillet Cookie
This is a “warm cinnamon sugar cookie topped with cream cheese frosting and an extra dash of cinnamon sugar.” Upon her first bite McKenna said, “I don’t like the custard texture of the icing.” This indicated that the cookie was below our expectations.
- Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk Cookie
A delicious cookie filled with chunks of chocolate finished with sprinkled sea salt. In our opinion, sea salt makes this cookie the perfect combination of sweet and salty, making it our top-rated cookie. We rated this a 10/10.
- Raspberry Cupcake Cookie
This cookie was warm with a cake cookie base and raspberry icing. It was sprinkled with white sprinkles. The icing was very sweet and overpowering, and we rated it a 3. Amanda, another reviewer, said, “This tastes like a seltzer water.”
- Strawberry Cupcake Cookie
The next cookie we tried was the Strawberry Cupcake Cookie. This had the same cookie base as the raspberry one but with strawberry icing and white chocolate curls. This one tasted less artificial, and we rated it a 6. Emma, an experienced Crumbl reviewer, was not too happy with the presentation. She claimed the cookie was “underbaked and the icing was melted.”
- Smore’s Skillet Cookie
“A gooey graham cookie baked with melty pieces of chocolate topped with fluffy marshmallow mousse, a drizzle of melted chocolate and a crunch of graham cracker streusel.” We originally thought this was going to be our favorite cookie, however, we rated it a 6/10. “The custard is too overpowering,” we agreed.
- Chocolate Milkshake Cookie
This was a chilled chocolate cookie with chocolate sprinkles iced with chocolate whipped frosting and a dollop of whipped cream. After the first bite, Natalie said “I rate it a 7.5.”
