Fragility

Fragility

Something that can disappear in moments

Noticed or not

Something that can dissolve into the depths of the darkest oceans or the clearest tears

Love is fragile

As is my grandmother’s favorite ornament

Everything is facing the dangers of the world

From children who reach up for the biggest and shiniest ring in their mother’s drawer

To your classmate who seems to hold all the beauty in the world

All those around you have the ability to break anything and everything

So keep a careful eye on the next child you hand an ornament to

The snow globe your little sister shakes with delight

The flower you pick in the park

The person you gift your heart to

For some things may be broken

And cannot be fixed
